Goa’s talented young artist, Sayee Manesh Gawas secured the first prize in the Hindi Monoact category at the National Art Talent Search (NATS) 2026, an all-India cultural competition recently held in Pune. The national-level competition was organised by the prestigious Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh.
Representing Goa among highly-competitive participants from various states across the country, Sayee’s stellar performance stood out. The 13-year-old has been selected to represent the region at the upcoming 16th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts 2026 international-level competition to be held in Andaman
and Nicobar.
Guided by renowned director Dr. Saish Deshpande, Sayee represented Goa’s well-known theatre institution, Abhivyakti Panaji, at the event. She underwent rigorous training and mentorship under the guidance of mentor, Dr. Deshpande. Her acting skills, emotional depth, and brilliant dialogue delivery captivated both the judges and the audience alike.
