Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has been conferred with ‘Gomant Ayurved Vibhushan Puraskar’ by Goa Council of Ayurvedic and other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine.
Dr Sawant stated that he was humbled and honoured to receive the Gomant Ayurved Vibhushan Puraskar. Airing his own experiences from the times when he was working as a doctor and the opportunities in front of him, the Chief Minister emphasised on his pioneering NGO in the health sector. He pointed out the need for more non governmental organisations to come up in the health sector to work in Goa.
“Under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Ayurveda and AYUSH systems have received global recognition. Goa too is progressing strongly, from digital council registration to last-mile Ayurveda access. The Union and State Governments remain committed to strengthening the Ayurved system and holistic healthcare in Goa and India. Let us collectively work towards wellness tourism, preventive care, and innovative research in Ayurveda for a healthier tomorrow,” asserted the Chief Minister.
