Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant launched ‘Chief Minister’s Financial Assistance for refilling of LPG Cylinders Scheme 2023’ on Friday.
Union MoS for Tourism, Shripad Naik, Minister for Civil Supplies, Ravi Naik, Secretary (Civil Supplies), Sanjit Rodrigues, IAS, Director, Civil Supplies, Gopal Parsekar were also present at the launch function organised by the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs at the Institute Menezes Braganza hall, Panaji, today.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Sawant announced a reduction of Rs 275 per LPG cylinder with the subsidised amount going to be deposited in the respective consumer’s account. “This is a financial assistance scheme by the Government of Goa and you are getting the sanction letter for it. The subsidy amount of two months i.e Rs 550 will be deposited to your accounts,” said the Chief Minister.
Dr Sawant also assured the beneficiaries of various other schemes that the pending subsidies will be disbursed ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Festival.
