Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Faculty Enrichment Internship Program (FEIM); with IIT Goa, BITS Goa while that with GIM and NIT will be realised in the long run as Government of Goa adopts best practice in the Education sector, stated Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant at Porvorim on Monday.
According to the Chief Minister, FEIM programme will help to develop effective teaching pedagogies, enhance and build research collaborations, and replicate this culture in Higher Education Institutes in Goa. He also added that the internship will be for six months and a year depending on the choice of Institute/specialisation that range from Computer Science, Physics to Mathematics.
Dr Sawant believes that the result of the training initiative will be seen in the long run and hoped that maximum number of faculties will benefit from this avenue.
Energized and motivated faculty is one of the objectives of the New Education Policy 2020, emphasised Dr Sawant in a post on X.
