Developed under a collaborative project ‘Cotton Hidden Voices’ of Goa Institute of Management and University of Leeds, UK; Hindi children’s book ‘Kiaan Aur Kapas Ball’ was launched in the presence of Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday.
The project is special as it documents the workers’ voices who diligently craft our garments. This project has been meticulously crafted to mirror the significance of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The book takes young minds on an enchanting journey through a cotton field to a final product, a complex procedure in an engaging and story driven manner. The book also encourages students to embrace sustainability principles by showcasing how they can mend, sew, or repurpose their garments, thereby reducing waste.
