INFOSYS SPRINGBOARD HOSTS BATCH II OF ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME AT HYDERABAD DC

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) and the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC), Government of Goa organised the prestigious ‘Academic Leadership Programme’ which took place at the state-of-the-art Infosys Limited training centre in Hyderabad from 8th to 12th September 2025.

The fully residential leadership workshop is a key initiative under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aligning with an emphasis on effective Governance and Leadership for faculty of Higher Education Institutions in the state of Goa.

The ALP aims to build and strengthen the academic leadership capabilities of 30 faculty from general and engineering colleges, as well as from Goa University.

The training was conducted by professional corporate trainers such as Nivas PCS, Simran and Dimple Bhasin from Infosys Ltd. and covered a comprehensive range of modules designed to cultivate essential academic leadership skills. These include leveraging Infosys Springboard for effective engagement, effective communication and teamwork, decision-making capabilities, team management and collaborative learning strategies, and introductions to emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. In addition, participants culminated in group presentations and evaluation.

The Academic Leadership Programme stands as a strong step toward building a future-ready, empowered academic community in Goa, reinforcing the Government’s commitment to excellence in higher education.

Prasad Lolayekar, Secretary Education and Bhushan K. Savaikar, Director, DHE flagged off the contingent of 30 faculty of the second batch of the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP).
The implementation of this workshop was by the dedicated efforts of Dr. Niyan Marchon, Program Director and Professor and Vasant Narulkar from the Centralised Training, Internship and Placement Cell, Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), who have been instrumental in conceptualising and coordinating this significant academic development programme.

As a follow up of this workshop, the 30 energised faculty will propagate the 20,000 free Infosys Springboard online course content such as AI, Time management, personality development among other available courses to their staff and students.
