Kala Academy Goa commemorated the 50th Konkani Drama Competition with a special programme held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji.
Renowned Konkani playwright, Pundalik Naik was conferred with the ‘Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar’ by Kala Academy Goa in recognition of his outstanding life-long contribution to Konkani theatre and literature.
On the occasion, eminent personalities who have made significant contributions to the field of Konkani drama, were also felicitated.
The programme was graced by Union Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik, Minister for Art & Culture Ramesh Tawadkar, Chairman of Kala Academy Babu Kavlekar, President of Goa Konkani Akademi Dr Purnanand Chari among others.
