KYAN, ADIANTA ADVANCE TO U-18 FINAL AT BANDODKAR PANJIM GYMKHANA TENNIS OPEN 2026

Kyan Mavany and Adianta Devaraya  marched to the finals of the boys under-18 singles category at the Bandodkar Panjim Gymkhana Tennis Open 2026, as the tournament continued to witness competitive action at the Panjim Gymkhana courts.

Kyan registered a strong 4-1, 4-3 win over Arsh Sardesai, while Adianta recorded a dominant 4-1, 4-1 victory against Ethan Luis De Ataide to secure his place in the finals.

In the girls under-14 singles category, Bhaavya Bhoomkar registered a convincing 4-1, 4-1 win over Analeah Pearl Menezes, while Tvisha Sardesai secured a 4-1, 4-0 victory against Urvi Pai Panandiker in their respective semi-final encounters to reach the final match of the category. 

The girls under-18 singles category also saw quarter-final action, with Tithee Bhoomkar defeating Renee De Menezes 6-1, and Avni Lotlikar overcoming Ammiel Fernandes 6-4. Bhaavya Bhoomkar continued her fine run with a 6-3 win over Analeah Pearl Menezes, while Tvisha Sardesai beat Kimberly D’sa 6-1 to progress further.

In the men’s open singles category, Sameer Kakodkar recorded a 6-1 win over Pankaj Nanoskar, while Kishor Metry defeated Basavaraj Akandappa Chalavadi 6-2 in their round of 64 matches.

Meanwhile, in the ladies open singles category, Janavi Sawadia edged past Rhea Mendes 7-5, while Renee De Menezes defeated Ruhika Panda 6-1. Archana Desai registered a 6-4 win over Stuti Shetty, and Devyani Desai beat Tatiana Malkarnekar 6-2 in their respective round of 32 encounters.

In the men’s open doubles category, Rehaan Díaz and Prajat Halankar secured a 6-3 win over Shrish Lohiya and Chaitanya S Rao in the round of 32, while Anurag Agrawal and Santosh cruised to a 6-0 victory against Naveen Daivajna and Neville Menezes in the round of 16.

The mixed open doubles category witnessed a series of commanding performances in the round of 16. Debayan Das and Tomoyo Fujita defeated Aymer Fernandes and Ammiel Fernandes 6-1, while Siddharth Nunes and Aishwarya Nunes beat Pankaj Nanoskar and Anjali Anna Philip 6-1. Sreenath and Tanya Shelyazhynska-Caldeira recorded a 6-0 win over Chiraag Sukerkar and Nataliia Lazurenko, while Vladyslava and Suraj Pombra overcame Gaurish Naik and Katyayani Gaurish Naik 6-2. Neale Fernandes and Raisa Menezes beat Raju Kundaikar and Archana Desai 6-3, and Prithvi Naik and Atika Gaur defeated Anindita Sarwate and Lyndon J. Pinto 6-4.

Across categories, the matches saw a mix of dominant wins and steady progress, with players advancing into the later stages of the tournament.
