PANAJI: Recently awarded the Northern Command ‘Army Commanders Commendations Card’ for his brave act in service of the motherland, Major Cliff Franco D’Souza from Siolim expressed delight at the love and respect showered on him by his fellow Goans. The Indian Army officer also advised youngsters and the parents community in general, about being open and supportive of Services’ career choice.
In an exclusive interaction with ‘Live News Goa‘ digital media channel founder Niraj Prabhu, the 31-year-old Information Technology engineer asserted the need for more awareness to be brought in, especially for school children to develop interest in the Armed Forces.
Maj. Cliff, who is posted with counter-insurgency force Rashtriya Rifles, also made light of Goa’s ‘susegad’ lifestyle as not being any kind of hindrance in adapting to the Army way of living.
