Sufiya Shaikh, Shaheen C.K., Amaira Dhumatker and Michael Ryan Mare emerged as the standout performers at the All Goa State Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026, the first ranking event of the 2026-27 season, organised by Mapusa Shuttlers under the aegis of the Goa Badminton Association at the Indoor Hall, Peddem.
Sufiya clinched a remarkable triple crown in the Under-19 category, winning the Girls Singles title with a convincing 15-8, 15-8 victory over Shivanjali Thite, partnering Shivanjali to secure the Girls Doubles crown against Aarohi Coutoncar and Dimple Revankar 15-11, 15-8, and teaming up with Shaheen C.K. to win the Mixed Doubles title after a hard-fought 17-15, 11-15, 15-11 triumph over Aswin Mannambalath and Aarohi Coutoncar. Shaheen completed a double crown by pairing with Aswin Mannambalath to capture the Boys Doubles title with a convincing 15-13, 15-6 win over Advait Balakrishnan and Vansh Khedkar.
In the Under-13 events, Amaira Dhumatker and Michael Mare secured double crowns. Amaira won the Girls Singles title, defeating Komal Kothari 15-4, 15-8, before joining forces with Komal to claim the Girls Doubles title with a 15-5, 15-6 victory over Anvitha Poojari and Ashbah Tahasildar. Michael captured the Boys Singles title by overcoming Pratik Naik Borkar 15-7, 15-11 and later partnered Ayansh Sanke to win the Boys Doubles title against Pratik Naik Borkar and Varun Sahakari 15-10, 15-9.
Meanwhile, Advait Balakrishnan capped an impressive campaign by capturing the Boys Under-19 Singles crown, defeating Shaheen C.K. 15-13, 15-9 in a high-quality final between two of Goa’s leading junior shuttlers.
