PANAJI: Max Fashion opened its fifth exclusive store in Goa on Tuesday, while also finally managing to find a suitable outlet in the capital city at Caculo Mall, St Inez.
Piyush Sharma, Regional Business Head (Karnataka & Goa) briefed the media on the occasion and explained that for some reasons like dearth of places of their liking, they had not been able to set the shop first up in Panaji.
Highlighting the importance of Goa for India’s popular fashion brand, Sharma said: “Goa as a market, was earlier underestimated. But, it is one of the destinations for a lot of international brands now. We are the strongest brand in Goa with five stores. “
When asked about the boost for online shopping in the pandemic era, Sharma agreed with the growth of the e-commerce sector and also emphasised on the upswing in the in-store transactions.
“(Although) online is catching up, Max is geared up and has online presence too. Covid has accelerated the ease of buying from home, online; but online and offline can coexist. As India is a growing economy, the online market is also up, but offline shopping has its own charm. Post-Covid first wave, people preferred to shop at standalone outlets, but now the malls are also seeing rising footfalls,” asserted Sharma while stressing that people tend to get bored buying from home and return to the stores for shopping.
The new store is spread over a total area of 10,000 sq.-feet, providing an international shopping experience for its customers. Be it menswear, womenswear, kids-wear, footwear or accessories, the store has everything under one roof with the latest trends and collection.
“We are very excited to launch our 5th store in Goa & we have always received an amazing response from Goa. The love and acceptance by the customers have inspired us to further develop our footprint in the state. I hope our customers will continue to love wearing our garments. Keep loving and supporting us!,” said Sharma.
