The skilling, reskilling and upskilling revolution is well and truly on in the state with a host of opportunities beckoning those trained in Goa itself. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has called on the Goans to acquire the skills and the language so as to flourish in their ambition to go global!
After witnessing the signing of an agreement between the Government of Goa and National Skill Development Corporation International Ltd., the Chief Minister urged the youth to master various skills and not look for help from the agents to go in search of jobs abroad.
The latest MoU by the state government, will see a NSDC International Skill Center set up in Goa. This state-of-the-art facility will create a world-class skill development ecosystem, equipping Goan youth with the essential skills and competencies, including foreign languages and specialised domain skills, to thrive on the global stage.
“The centre will also open up international job opportunities in sectors such as Hospitality, Healthcare, Beauty & Wellness, IT, Construction…under this partnership, a minimum of 5,000 Goan youth will receive training annually, specifically geared towards overseas employment. I am confident that this cutting-edge Skill Center will empower the youth of Goa with the tools they need to excel globally, paving the way for remarkable job opportunities,” stated the Chief Minister in a post on X.
