Projects worth Rs. 100 crore have been initiated in Calangute to strengthen infrastructure, minimise power losses, and improve connectivity; announced Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
Earlier on Wednesday, Dr Sawant laid the Foundation Stone for infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing power supply, water distribution and road connectivity.
“The Government of Goa remains committed to leveraging state-of-the-art technology to enhance public utilities and improve the ease of living for its people,” asserted the Chief Minister.
The projects include:
• New 33KV Underground Cable Network from 220/33KV GIS Station at Saligao to 33/11KV Substations at Calangute, Nagoa, Badem, and the proposed Baga Substation.
• Laying of a 300mm DIA Ductile Iron (DI) Pipeline from St. Anthony Chapel to the newly constructed 1.2 MLD sump at Umtawado, Calangute.
• Road Repairs necessitated by the underground cable-laying work.
