PANAJI: Cycling enthusiasts are hoping that the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd will provide a permanent facility for the eco-friendly way of travelling after the ‘Panaji supports India #Cycles4Change‘ challenge drew to a close on Sunday, October 25. The Smart City Mission under the Government of India’s Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, had launched the #Cycles4Change initiative in Goa’s designated Smart City on October 2, and subsequently saw people from different age-groups participate in the rides every Sunday morning of this month. The rides started at Dona Paula and went up to Ribandar-Merces junction with a dedicated pop-up cycling lane all along till Divja circle and the causeway exclusively reserved for the cyclists.
