Health Minister Vishwajit Rane handed over six Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulances & two Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances; under the CSR initiatives of Powergrid WR-I to Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Goa, at a function held at Van Bhavan, Altinho, Panaji.
Director of Health Services, Dr. Geeta Kakodkar, representatives of Powergrid – SBR Rao, Sr. GM, BL Kumre, Sr. DGM, and Nasirhusen Shaikh, Chief Manager; officials of Directorate of Health Services were also present.
Rane highlighted the development as a ‘significant milestone for the DHS Goa’.
The Health Minister in his social media post, stated: “The acquisition of two advanced life support ambulances, six basic life support ambulances, and automated blood bank equipment marks a significant milestone for the @DHS_Goa, with the support of Powergrid under their CSR initiatives. This collaborative effort underscores a shared commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region….this initiative emphasizes the importance of improving access to emergency medical services and advancing blood bank automation. This joint endeavor holds great promise for benefiting the community and contributing to the overall enhancement of public health.”
