Wesley Do Rosario and Urvi Surlakar emerged Men’s and Women’s champions respectively at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, with Aaron Farias and Neeza Kamat claiming the Boys and Girls U19 titles, while Chandan Caro and Ishita Colaso won the U15 Boys and Girls crowns.
The tournament was held at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Miramar, in aegis with Goa Table Tennis Association. In Men’s final, Wesley defeated Aaron Farias 4-0, while Urvi beat Ishita 3-0. Aaron overcame Chandan 3-1 in the U19 Boys final, while Neeza defeated Ishita 3-1 in U19 Girls. In U15, Chandan beat Yug Prabhu 3-1, while Ishita defeated Aarna Lotlikar 3-0.
Among other results, Yug Prabhu won the Boys U13 title with a 3-0 win over Kaushik Nair, while Tisha Shaikh defeated Sachi Dessai 3-1 in Girls U13. Ashank Dalvi edged Aarish Shaikh 3-2 in Boys U11, with Anaya Shukla beating Shaurya Dessai 3-1 in Girls U11. Arjun Rane defeated Yajat Keny 3-1 in Boys U9, while Claire George beat Ronisha Sakhardande 3-0 in Girls U9.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Swapnil Nachinolkar, Co founder of Group Priority, Tanmay Kholkar, President, Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Vinesh Pikle, Club Secretary, and GTTA office-bearers Sudin Verenkar, President, and Christopher Menezes, Secretary, among others.
