The 19th Rajya Sainik Board Meeting was held at Mantralaya, Porvorim. Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the meet.
The meeting was conducted by Major Venu Gopal Nair, Secretary, Department of Sainik Welfare.
Among the points discussed at the board meeting were – commencement of work of Sainik Aramgrah, setting up of Zilla Sainik Welfare Office in South Goa District, inclusion of widows of ex-servicemen under the reserved category by Direct recruitment for Group C & D Posts, Revision of Monetary Incentives for Goan youth who join the Armed Forces & Exemption of Arms License fees for Ex-servicemen.
