PANAJI: India celebrates ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ today on the occasion of the 144th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. As such, state government departments and various educational institutions took the ‘Unity pledge’.
Director of Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Shashank Mani Tripathi (IAS) administered the pledge to the staff.

SSA Government College of Arts & Commerce, Virnoda-Pernem, observed the National Unity Day with Principal Prof. (Dr.) Filipe Rodrigues e Melo administering the pledge to all the teaching and non-teaching staff followed by a Unity walk. The programme was conducted in collaboration with NCC Company & NSS Unit of the college.
