SFX HSS , Siolim Bardez, continues to dominate the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs’ state handball championships with the U-19 boys team winning the title at PJN open handball court, Fatorda. Earlier this season in the U-17 championships, SFX HSS had emerged champions in boys section.
In the under-19 boys final, SFX HSS defeated Rosary HSS, Navelim, 14-11. St. Xavier’s HSS, Mapusa, defeated Damodar HSS, Gudi-Paroda, 6-3, to finish third.
The boys winning team comprised Magnus Rodrigues, Chandrakant Shirodkar, Saieesh Vernekar, Shaan Coutinho, Mihir Mhaldar, Hari Palyekar, Yash Simepurushkar, Domnic Fernandes, Frenwin Fernandes, Akhil Agarwadekar, Nitesh Dhone, Ayush Agarwadekar, Kaushal Phadte, Atharv Shirodkar, Vishank Dhargalkar, Dhruv Kaskar.
In the girls final, Rosary HSS, Navelim, defeated St. Xavier’s HSS, Mapusa, 6-3. In the third place match, Don Bosco HSS, Panjim, defeated St. Andrew HSS, Vasco, 6-2.
