SHE PADDLE 2025: INTERNATIONAL MASTERS WOMEN’S TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT IN GOA FROM 5TH SEPTEMBER

Some of the most decorated names in table tennis, including Mantu Murmur, 60+ World Champion; Rita Jain, Former National Champion, Masters National Champion and Commonwealth Medalist; and Mangal Saraf, World Championship Silver Medalist in Women’s Doubles and 8-time Masters National Champion, will headline the She Paddle International Masters Women’s Table Tennis Tournament 2025 to be held in Goa from 5th to 7th September at the scenic Aralia Beach Resort, Morjim. The event will also welcome international participation with a representative from Bucharest, Romania, underlining the global reach of this pioneering initiative, stated a press release.

Organised for the first time in India, She Paddle 2025 is a dedicated International Masters Women’s Prize Money Tournament that will bring together between 50 to 100 players from across India and abroad, with a prize purse of 1.25 lakhs and attractive trophies.

The inaugural edition will feature events in the Veterans 40+, 50+, and 60+ Women’s categories in singles and doubles, along with a prestigious Team Championship, making it a comprehensive showcase of Masters women’s table tennis.

Conceived as a flagship annual event, it aims to showcase the strength, resilience, and enduring passion of women athletes who continue to inspire generations by pursuing their sporting journeys in the Masters category. Looking ahead, it was also announced that the 2026 edition of She Paddle will be hosted in Bucharest, Romania, further cementing its place as a truly international celebration of women in sport.

The grand finale of the tournament on 7th September 2025 will also witness the launch of “Smash Her Story”, a historic book honouring 32 Indian National Women Champions from 1947 to 2024. Written by Shamik Chakrabarty and Dileep Premachandran under the guidance of sports historian Boria Majumder, the book has been endorsed by Petra Sörling, President of the ITTF and IOC Member. More than a chronicle of achievements, Smash Her Story celebrates resilience, breaking barriers, and the creation of role models for future generations.

The press conference announcing the event was addressed by Moonmoon Mukherjee (Former International TT Player, President CARE Foundation, Founder of P3 Sports Management, Co-Founder of Champion Charms and Creator of Smash Her Story), Deepa Jain (Veteran National Champion, Jewellery Designer, Founder of NISH Jewels, and Co-Founder of Champion Charms), Shilpa Joshi Takalkar (Former International TT Player, Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee, multiple-time National Champion, Co-Founder of Champion Charms, and Co-Producer of Smash Her Story), and Deepak Gopani (Founder Secretary of Goa Veterans Table Tennis Association, State Veteran Champion, and Promoter).

The event will also feature distinguished guests including Kamlesh Mehta, 8-time National Champion, Arjuna Awardee and Secretary General of TTFI; Pooja Bedi, celebrated actor and wellness coach; Dr. Geeta Nagvenkar, Executive Director of the Sports Authority of India; Niraj Bajaj, Chairman of the Bajaj Group and main sponsor of the event; as well as senior officials of the Goa Table Tennis Association including Sudin Verenkar (President) and Mayur Sawkar (Vice President), along with Government of Goa officials.

Speaking on the vision of She Paddle, Moonmoon Mukherjee described it as “not just a tournament, but a movement” – one that celebrates women who continue their sporting journeys with passion while building a legacy to inspire future generations. The Organising Committee reiterated that the event represents a fusion of sport, culture, and empowerment, positioning Goa as a global hub for Masters sports.

She Paddle 2025 promises world-class competition, inspiring stories, and a celebration of women who have redefined the spirit of the game.
