Mahipal Sinh Parmar–Priyansh Sawant Dessai and Amaira Dhumatker–Anvitha Poojari booked their places in the U11 Boys’ and Girls’ singles finals respectively at the Sunlite State Badminton Ranking Tournament 2026, as the semifinals were completed at the Indoor Stadium, Campal.
Mahipal stunned top seed Shloke Utagi 15-8, 15-13, while fourth seed Priyansh Sawant Dessai defeated Aariketh Chari 15-6, 15-13. In the Girls’ U11 section, top seed Amaira continued her dominant run with a 15-1, 15-0 win over third seed Yashika Koneru, while Anvitha Poojari overcame fourth seed Saachi Sinai Kenkre 15-6, 15-2.
The U13 events also produced strong semifinal performances, with top seed Michael Mare defeating Anav Kannekar 15-6, 15-8 and Pratik Naik Borkar overcoming Vedh Lotliker 15-12, 15-12 in the Boys’ section. In Girls’ U13, top seed Amaira Dhumatker defeated Anvitha Poojari 15-3, 15-3, while Komal Kothari beat seventh seed Aditi Dhargalkar 15-6, 15-10. The U9 finals line-up was also decided, with top seeds Rafael De Ataide and Oorvi Khyalia advancing alongside Divyam Singh and Samaira Velip. The tournament is organised by Sunlite Sports and Cultural Club in aegis with the Goa Badminton Association.
