In an endeavour to conserve water and ensure sanitation facilities, Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Director Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin, Ministry of Jal Shakti-DDWS; along with Area Consultant Anukruti, visited Goa.
They reviewed the SBM-G initiatives undertaken by various village panchayats. As part of the visit, they met Panchayat Minister, Mauvin Godinho and inspected the Woow Plant in Chicalim, where key projects are being implemented under SBM-G funds.
The Director for SBM-G commended the efforts of Village Panchayat Chicalim in establishing decentralised & self-sustaining facilities, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable sanitation and waste management.
A public interaction programme on Groundwater Water Conservation and Groundwater Management was organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Central Ground Water Board, South Western Region, Bengaluru in Association with Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College (Autonomous), Bambolim at S.S Dempe college , Bambolim , Goa.
