A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Swayampurna Goa and Visa India and Seva Tech Ltd. to establish a collaborative effort to enhance the well-being, economic prosperity, and overall development of the residents of Goa by introducing a comprehensive prepaid card issuance and management program, stated Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
This MoU serves as a foundation for collaboration aimed at ensuring sustainable economic and social development in the state.
The consortium shall offer ‘Hospicash’ Benefit Insurance Policy for financial assistance during hospital stays, Medical Discounts at pharmacies & diagnostics centers across the state, Credit Line for In-Patient Treatment among other benefits.
The Chief Minister also emphasised that the Government of Goa shall facilitate the implementation of the prepaid card program, Seva Tech Ltd. to oversee the issue of Prepaid cards, Visa International to oversee financial inclusion projects in villages, Mobile Pe shall enable digital transactions for Rupay card holders, Xperitus shall provide insurance related expertise, Airpay Payment Services shall provide and manage payment gateways.
