PANAJI: Former coach of India U-17 Women’s World Cup squad, Thomas Dennerby is set to take charge as Head Coach of India Senior Women’s Football Team. The experienced Swede thus fills the void created after the departure of Goan coach Maymol Rocky from the top position in Indian women’s football setup.
India will now have Dennerby, 62, at the helm to guide the preparations in view of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022. India will host the continental championship from January 20-February 6.
Dennerby, who has an experience of over 30 years and formerly coached Sweden and Nigeria, masterminded the Swedish Women’s team progress at the World Cup and Olympics.
