‘TELEMANAS’ BOOSTS MENTAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES IN GOA

Mental healthcare has now been boosted in Goa with the Government of Goa’s ‘TeleManas’ facility providing free consultation on a wide-ranging issues.

‘TeleManas’ will offer a comprehensive range of tele-mental health services, recognising the paramount importance of mental well-being.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane states in a tweet,
“In a world where mental health holds immense significance, #TeleManas will emerge as a vital solution, dedicated to addressing a spectrum of issues. With a commitment to utmost privacy, it endeavors to assist people in overcoming their challenges and fostering psychological wellness.”

Among the various services delivered, are: telecounselling, teleconsultation, teletherapy, proactive followup calls with prior consent, referral to mental health specialists.

Among the mental healthcare categories, the TeleManas free 24×7 helpline no. 14416 or 1800-891-4416, caters to Child issues like ADHD & Autism, Child Abuse, Behavioral Issues, Academic pressure and Intellectual Disability.

Adolescent, Adult and Elderly issues dealt with are as follows: Relationship problems, Addiction disorders, Sexual Orientation, Work/Job stress, Psychiatric disorder, Domestic violence, LGBTQ-Distress, Grief management, Dementia, elder abuse, chronic pain disorder, Post patrum issues.
