Union Tribal Affairs Minister, Jual Oram along with Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated 30 days awareness and benefit saturation campaign under Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan organised by Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Government of India) and the Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Goa at Municipality Hall, Sanguem.
Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar, Social Welfare Minister, Subhash Phal Dessai, Rajya Sabha MP, Sadanand Shet Tanavade, MLA, Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, Collector, South Goa, Egna Cleetus, IAS, were also present.
The Mega Camp featured mega initiatives with over 15 departments delivering services like Forest Rights titles, Health, ST Merit Awards, Bus Flag-off under DMF; including 13 welfare scheme counters.
The Chief Minister emphasised the prompt attention under Forest Rights Act that saw, 3258 claims resolved and 1007 sanads issued, since 14th June. “From education to heritage, Goa is scripting a new era of tribal inclusion and progress,” asserted Dr Sawant.

Two buses for providing transport facility free of cost for students, were flagged off. The buses have been funded by the South Goa District Mineral Foundation.

Dr Sawant along with Jual Oram, Phal Dessai and Tanavade also visited the Selaulim Dam.
