Anaya Shukla, Tvisha Kotkar, Vanlalhriatpuii and Shaurya Dessai booked their places in the Girls Under-11 semi-finals on the opening day of the Ulhas Jewellers – BPS Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, currently underway at Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda. The tournament is organised by BPS Sports Club under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association and powered by Ulhas Jewellers.
Anaya Shukla registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Tasha Mascarenhas, while Tvisha Kotkar edged past Claire George in a thrilling five-game encounter 3-2. Vanlalhriatpuii overcame Ronisha Sakhardande 3-0, and Shaurya Dessai downed Sanaz Shaikh 3-0 to complete the U11 Girls semi-final lineup.
In the Girls Under-9 category, Claire George and Spruha Kamat advanced to the final with impressive semi-final victories. Claire defeated Swara Gude 3-0 after receiving a bye into the semi-finals, while Spruha outplayed Ronisha Sakhardande 3-0 to seal her place in the title clash.
Earlier in the quarter-finals, Swara Gude defeated Hanishka Chonkar 3-1, Spruha Kamat prevailed over Taisha Mehta 3-2 in a closely contested match, and Ronisha Sakhardande overcame Alessandra Fernandes 3-1.
