UNION EDUCATION MINISTER & GOA CM TO ATTEND IIT GOA’S 6TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY ON SUNDAY

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa will host the Sixth Convocation at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda, on Sunday, 13th July 2025. Dharmendra Pradhan, Education Minister, Government of India, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest while Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, will be the Guest of Honour.

The event will celebrate the academic accomplishments of a total of 174 graduating students from the B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. The ceremony will bring together students, parents, faculty, and distinguished guests in a celebration of academic excellence, innovation, and growth.

The ceremony will include the award of degrees, distribution of medals for academic excellence, and a report by Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Director of IIT Goa, highlighting the achievements of the institute and its students for the academic Year 2024-25. The event will be presided over by Adil Siraj Zainulbhai, Chairperson, Board of Governors of IIT Goa.

IIT Goa presently operates temporarily from the Goa College of Engineering campus at Farmagudi.
