PANAJI: ‘wellCAREx’ is in the process of developing an oxygen concentrator especially for the usage in rural areas where Covid-19 emergency health infrastructure is stretched to the limit. The Goa-based startup has launched a fundraiser in order to generate finance to develop the prototype – OxR (OxyResp).
Further, the company intends to partner with Goan manufacturers for mass production of the crucial medical equipment in the ongoing battle against the pandemic.
“The first step in this mission is to build a prototype catering to all the aspects that we have planned. The next step would be a bulk production and distribution of the same,” says a statement by the ‘wellCAREx’ team.
Appealing for support in their mission, the statement further reads: “We request our Industry, Manufacturing and Testing Lab organisations to join hands with us in this initiative and contribute towards the making of this much needed product. Via the below KETTO.ORG campaign, it is our earnest appeal to each one of you to contribute towards this mission to help us build the prototype as early as we can so as to reach production readiness.
