WHEELCHAIR DAY AWARENESS TALK HELD AT GOA UNIVERSITY

Goa University students and faculty of Social Work Programme, hosted a session by Muskan Shaikh, to understand the challenges of accessibility.

Imagine facing daily barriers like – ramps too steep, doors too narrow, sidewalks too high. As such to experience the plight of Persons with Disabilities, the students stepped into the shoes of wheelchair users as part of the International Wheelchair Day Awareness Talk.

The session was not just about discussion but real action – as the students and faculty navigated ramps and corridors in wheelchairs. The session sparked meaningful conversations about accessibility, disability rights, and the importance of inclusive spaces.
