Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the 3-days workshop on “Implementation of the Goa Clean Energy Roadmap 2050” in Panaji.
Minister for Power & New and Renewable Energy, Ramkrishna alias Sudin Dhavalikar, Chief Electrical Engineer, Stephen Fernandes were present among others.
The workshop was organised by the Department of New & Renewable Energy, Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Goa Energy Development Agency and with technical support from GIZ.
The Chief Minister launched Goa Renewable Energy Capacity Planning Report, Net Positive Panchayat (NPP) Initiative – India’s first program to make every panchayat energy self-sufficient. An MoU with SELCO Foundation was also signed.
The objective of the workshop is to develop an action-oriented strategy for the effective implementation of the Goa Clean Energy Roadmap and to help the State achieve its Net Zero target by 2050.
