Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has highlighted the importance of Goa State Palliative Care Policy, on the occasion of World Cancer Day.
The launch of the Goa State Palliative Care Policy marks a significant step in strengthening cancer care across the state, emphasised the Health Minister at a programme organised by the Non-Communicable Disease Cell in collaboration with the Department of Medical Oncology, GMC.
“This initiative reinforces our commitment to early screening, timely treatment, and a structured palliative care system. We have been consistently working to ease pain and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. With palliative care now integrated into our healthcare framework, cancer patients will receive the support they need at every stage,” stated Rane.
