XAXTI RIDERS: COMMEMORATIVE ‘CYCLING JERSEY’ AFTER JOINT-EFFORT BY CIVILIANS, INDUSTRY & DEFENCE

PANAJI: Xaxti Riders are set to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of India’s Independence with a commemorative jersey as well as by organising cycle rides.

The South Goa-based popular cycling club will unveil their new cycling jersey in a unique collaborative initiative, says a press release. “Defence Services Wing, Headquarters Goa Naval Area and the Verna Industries Association have joined hands with Goa’s largest, most-active and hugely-popular cycling club, Xaxti Riders based in Margao. The special Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Cycling Jersey will be unveiled by Capt Prateek Ghosh, Indian Navy and Blaise CostaBir, Verna Industries Association, on July 18 at 7:30 am, at Smartlink Holdings (Old Schneider Electric) Building, Verna Industrial Estate,” stated the press communique.

“This truly reflects the spirit of a free India of civilian/industry/defence synergy that is, Unity through Diversity,” Xaxti Riders president Sameer Nadkarni is quoted as saying.

The jersey will be donned by the cyclists participating in the 30km and 75km ‘Fun Freedom Cycling Rides’ on August 15, 2021.

“These rides are subject to all the Covid-19 protocols and the pandemic situation prevailing then,” added Nadkarni.
