The two-day Krishi Mahotsav 2024 began at the Ravindra Bhavan, Sakhali on Saturday.
Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the event organised by Directorate of Agriculture; in the presence of Agriculture Minister, Ravi Naik; ZP members, Gopal Surlakar, Mahesh Sawant ,Chairperson Sakhali, Rashmi Dessai, Director of Agriculture, Nevil Alphonso.
An exhibition at the Mahotsav showcases latest Agriculture Equipments including drones and other technologies.
Dr Sawant hailed the progress achieved by Goa, saying: “I am happy to note that Goa is at second spot in use of Drone for Agriculture. The Government of Goa is committed to extending all the support to all Agri-ventures in the state.”
The Chief Minister also released the Shree Anna Booklet on the occasion and felicitated Anant Malik, who won Gopal Ratna.
CM INAUGURATES ‘KRISHI SETU’
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly-constructed ‘Krishi-Setu’ at Cumbarjua, in the presence of local MLA, Rajesh Faldessai.
“I congratulate GSIDC for the construction at the cost of 3 Crore. I am sure the Setu shall enhance agricultural activity and income of the people of that area,” Dr Sawant posted on his social media.
