Under the scheme, Goa’s Compassionate Appointment, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant presented appointment recommendation letters to 42 eligible beneficiaries. Priol MLA Govind Gaude, Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai and Poriem MLA Dr. Deviya Rane were also present on the occasion at Porvorim.
Goa Compassionate Appointment Scheme supports families of Government servants in times of hardship, with dignity and financial stability.
Since 2019, 439 compassionate appointments have been recommended, taking the total beneficiaries since 2007 to 1,286 across various Government departments.
“With reforms in 2023 and further amendments in November 2025 to make the scheme more inclusive, our Government remains committed to Antyodaya and to ensuring no deserving family is left without support,” emphasised the Chief Minister.
