42ND NTPC JUNIOR NATIONAL ARCHERY: INDIA’S TOP ARCHERS – RISHABH YADAV, KUSHAL DALAL, PRIYA GURJAR TAKE CENTRESTAGE

PANAJI: National Games gold-medallist Rishabh Yadav, silver medal winner Ojas Deotale; world record holder Priya Gurjar and Kushal Dalal are some of the top Indian archers in Compound Round action at the 42nd NTPC Junior National Archery Championship in progress at SAG ground, Campal here on Monday.

Haryana with the likes of Rishabh and Kushal among others in the team, have fielded a formidable outfit to vie for the top honours in the men’s section.

Maharashtra also boast of a strong team with Ojas, Prathamesh Jawkar, Prathamesh Fuge; while Andhra’s Kunderu Venkatadri is another up and coming archer to watch out. In all, 111 archers from across 27 states/UTs are participating in the Compound round.

Hosts Goa are being represented by Yatin Kaushik, Lenin Oinam, Sachin G and Shubham Jangir in men’s event. Sayukta Sarvesh Abhisheki is the lone woman archer on the home team.

In the women’s section, world record holders Priya Gurjar (Rajasthan), Parneet Kaur (Punjab), Ridhu Varshini (Tamil Nadu) will be the highlight of the team action. Delhi’s Pragati is also a part of the cream of young women archers in the country right now and all eyes will also be trained on her during the day. A total of 84 archers make the women’s field in the Compound round.
