48TH INDIAN MASTERS BADMINTON: TANAJI, ROSELINE, KUDCHADKAR HEADLINE GOA’S PERFORMANCE

Tanaji Sawant and Roseline Bunyan, along with Dr Satish Kudchadkar, headlined Goa’s performance on day three of the Yonex-Sunrise 48th Indian Masters (Veteran) National Badminton Championships 2025-26 at Goa. The mixed doubles Goa pairing of Sawant and Bunyan advanced to the Mixed Doubles 70+ final with a hard-fought semifinal win over Surendar Singh Pundir and Punita Nagalia (UTR). Sawant, partnering Pradeep Dhond, also progressed to the quarterfinals of Men’s Doubles 70+ with a solid straight-game victory.

Bunyan meanwhile has also reached the semifinals in Women’s Singles and doubles 70+, while Vrushali Cardozo and Manjiri Moktali (Goa) advanced to the quarterfinals of Women’s Doubles 55+. Veteran star and top seed Satish Kudchadkar continued his impressive run, entering the final of Men’s Singles 80+ and also reaching the final of Men’s Doubles 80+ with partner Dharam Pal Khatana.

The championship, organised by the Goa Badminton Association in aegis with the Badminton Association of India and powered by Raisoni Foundation, witnessed strong performances from top Indian players. In MS 55, top seed Rajeev Sharma (DLI) moved into the Round of 16, while Vikram Bhasin (Delhi), seeded 7, prevailed in a straight game win over Gujarat’s Tarun Chauhan to reach the quarterfinals. In MS 60, top seed Ram Lakhan (PNB) advanced to the Round of 16.
