Vansh Gaude & Nirja Gaude won a chess tournament conducted for Std. 4th boys and girls of Wagle Primary school and Swastik Vidyalay.
The event was a part of ‘Chess in School’ project and was organised by Ponda Taluka Chess Association.
Following are the prize-winners in boys category: Nahush Gaude, Tejas Kuttikar, Samarth Ghaisas, Aaradhya More, Krushank Kuncolienkar and Shreyash Naik secured 2nd to 7th place respectively.
Girls category: Manasvi Tivrekar, Vedika Naik, Arya Naik, Ashvi Naik, Bilwa Kerkar and Janhvi Satarkar secured 2nd to 7th place respectively.
Prizes were distributed in the presence of Sagar Sakordekar, President of Ponda Taluka Chess Association; Amogh Namshiker, PTCA Secretary; Sandesh Naik, PTCA Treasurer; Mitasha Aigal, Headmistress, Wagle HS; Chief Arbiter – Milind Gaude.
