Goa’s Magha M. Samuel and Ashwini Churi won a bronze medal in Artistic Yoga pair competition at the 48th Senior National Yoga Championship at Hoogli, West Bengal.
Magha is a student of Kasurba Matoshri High School-Panaji, while Ashwini is student of Deep Vihar HSS, Sada-Vasco.
Other members of Goa Yoga Association-deputed team, Ashish Pal and Sourabh Gorai, student of Brahnmanand Vidyalaya Kundai, secured 5th place in Artistic Yoga pair competition. Sourabh was also 5th in the solo competition of Artistic Yoga.
Bhanudas Chouday from Goa Yoga Academy Vasco,secured the 5th place in Yogasana competition. Magha, Ashwini Churi, Ashish, Sourabh and Akash Pitta secured 5th place in Free Flow Yogasana competition.
The team was trained by Damodar Govenkar at his Yoga Academy in Vasco, stated a press release by Goa Yoga Association.
