Minister for Transport, Mauvin Godinho flagged off five new KTCL buses for the Exposition of St. Francis Xavier 2024, alongside KTCL Chairman & MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, Vice-Chairman Kritesh Gaonkar, Managing Director Pundalik Khorjuenkar, Works Manager Mahendra Pednekar, and District Transport Officer,.Roque Luis.
This initiative reflects Government’s commitment to ensuring seamless travel for pilgrims and visitors as they come together to honour the legacy of St. Francis Xavier popularly known as ‘Goencho Saib’.
As part of the preparations for this international event, 30 new buses were specially ordered for the Exposition. The first five buses, which arrived just yesterday, have been inaugurated and are already in service to ensure efficient and smooth transportation.
These shuttles will serve key routes between Panaji, Margao, Vasco, and Old Goa, facilitating seamless travel for pilgrims and visitors. The remaining buses are expected to arrive soon and will promptly be integrated into service, states a press communique.
