Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the ’75Years Of Constitution of India’ celebrations, organised by Goa University in collaboration with Directorate of Higher Education at Goa University.
Minister for Law and Environment Aleixo Sequeira, Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao, Advocate General, Adv. Devidas Pangam, Chief Justice (Retd.) of the High Court of Manipur, Siddharth Mridul, Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, Secretary (Revenue), Sandip Jacques , IAS, Secretary (Education), Prasad Lolayekar, IAS, Vice-Chancellor of Goa University, Prof. Harilal B. Menon were also present.
“This momentous occasion pays tribute to the adoption of the Indian Constitution, a living testament to the vision and dedication of its makers, who laid the foundation for a strong and democratic nation. Recognizing the significance of this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi instituted ‘Samvidhan Divas,’ ensuring it becomes a day of reflection and celebration of our constitutional heritage,” stated the Chief Minister.
“The Prime Minister has aptly termed this era as ‘Amrit Kaal,’ a period leading up to the centenary of India’s independence, with the ambitious vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. This vision is anchored in the principles of the Kartavya Kaal, emphasising collective duty and responsibility. As custodians of India’s future, our youth must embrace the opportunities provided by the robust system established under the Constitution of India and actively contribute to shaping a developed, prosperous, and inclusive nation. Let us honor the values enshrined in the Constitution and commit ourselves to building a brighter future for Bharat,” emphasised Dr. Sawant.
