PANAJI: Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem, won the Inter-Collegiate Taekwondo Championship 2022-2023. The competition was organised by Goa University at Jubilee hall, Taleigao Plateau on 13th &14th October. V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, clinched the runners-up trophy while the third place was shared between Chowgule College, Margao, and Rosary College, Navelim.
Over 73 athletes from various affiliated colleges participated in the event. A total of 8 weight category competitions were conducted during this championship.
Chief guest Satyavan Harmalkar, College Director of Physical Education and Sports, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim; and guest of honour Theofile Lowe, Taekwondo Coach, Sports Authority of Goa; graced the occasion and presented medals and trophies.
