Goa has been a hub for various art exhibitions over the years. Many artists from across the country and even overseas, flock to Goa for exhibiting their work of art. A painting exhibition featuring work of artists from Bhopal and Delhi, was recently inaugurated at Vagator.
The exhibition titled ‘Colo Rhapsody – An Art Odyssey’ has recently started at the famous Ujwal Art Gallery at the Art Street on the beach road at Vagator. It was inaugurated by Shahista Thapar, an art collector from Dona Paula.
Among the other guests present were noted fashion photographer Prasad Pankar and Suryavanshi, an artist from Arambol. The exhibition features paintings of Dr. Sonam Sikarwar, Dr. Chhaya Dubey, Hansa Milan Kumar, Preeti Potdar Jain and Nitesh Panchal from Bhopal and Sharmila Sharma from Delhi. The featured artists are of both the national and international repute and their art-work consists of paintings created on myriad themes. The exhibition is open till January 19, 2024.
“The theme of my art-work “Circle of Life” projects infallibility of human nature and it’s short comings. In life we have to go through the entire circle to complete it and we reap what we sow,” reflects Dr. Sonam Sikarwar, artist from Bhopal.
Hansa Milan Kumar, artist from Bhopal, says: “The theme of my work, ‘Layers of Silence’ is the core of my work which stems from silence. It is in the silence that the peace is found, which is meditative and engulfing amidst the noise around us.”
