NATIONAL CONCLAVE ON FINANCIAL INCLUSION GETS UNDERWAY AT MIRAMAR

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant hailed the progress achieved by Goan women entrepreneurs in particular, under the Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission; as ‘Anubhuti – A National Conclave on Financial Inclusion: Pathway to Prosperity’, got underway at Miramar on Tuesday.

Dr. Sawant asserted that the conclave celebrates the power of financial inclusion in building a Atmanirbhar Bharat and Goa is proud to lead by example. “Financial inclusion is the backbone of Swayampurna Goa. With strong institutions and community leadership, we will continue to build a Goa where every home is financially secure and every citizen empowered,” he emphasised.

The high-profile 2 and a half-day Conclave organised by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, will witness key discussions and endeavour to come up with a resolution to boost the rural economy further with improved campaigns and more stakeholders.

Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Joint Secretary, RL-1, MoRD, Smriti Sharan, Deputy Secretary, RL, MoRD, Monika; Secretary, Rural Development, Government of Goa, Sanjay Goel, IAS, were also present.

Smriti Sharan complimented the financial empowerment achieved by GSRLM and also hailed the Goa Government MoU with LIC. She also revealed that a similar MoU for the rest of the states will be forged on the concluding day.

A prominent woman entrepreneur from Pernem-Goa, Sneha Naik has exhibited her revolutionary Kunbi fabric creations, on the sidelines of the Conclave.
