Coelho siblings – Dayne and Katya shone once again at the national SAIL INDIA 2026, at the All lndia National Sailing Championships held at Chowpatty, Mumbai. The Goan duo clinched gold medals in the Seniors category in the lQ FOIL windsurfing event. The young Stefano Alvares, who took to windsurfing just 10 months back, shocked the sailing community to win the silver medal in the under-19 youth category.
Dayne, who was in the second place till the penuttimate day, sailed his heart out to beat back the challenge from Aditya Sangwan. Dayne and Sangwan were tied for the first place till the last race. However, Dayne managed to hold off Sangwan in the last race to clinch the gold with one point.
Katya, on the other hand put up a good performance from Day 1 and won the gold comfortably with a 6-point lead.
Stefano, who took to windsurfing just 10 months ago and switched to FOIL just 6 months ago, put up a stellar performance in the youth category. Stefano, who was in the third place on the penuttimate day, put up a creditabte performance on the last day to take two guns and three 2nd place finishes to comfortably clinch Silver medal.
