Goa participated at the 3rd edition of the International Ayush Conference & Exhibition, a prestigious global platform that brought together stakeholders in the field of Ayurveda and other traditional systems under AYUSH from across the world. The event which was inaugurated today, and will be open upto February 17, 2026 organised by Vijnana Bharati(Science India Forum-UAE) at World Trade Centre, UAE.
The Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India is associated in organising the exhibition under the patronage of Embassy of India, UAE and Indian Consulate, Dubai served as a vibrant forum for dialogue, collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of holistic healthcare practices today.
The focal theme of the conference is Evidence-Based AYUSH Interventions in Mind-Body Health.
Goa’s participation in the Ayurveda exhibition formed part of a strategic initiative aligned with the State’s strong push towards wellness tourism. With wellness travel gaining global momentum, Ayurveda stands out as a time-tested and holistic system that enhances physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The Goa stall, which is undertaken by the Department of Information and Publicity; and executed through it’s EMA M/s Sean AdEvent stood out among the stalls at the event with its unique concept and design with eco-friendly material.
The 3rd edition of International Ayush Conference and Publicity was inaugurated at the hands of Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State(I/C), Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India, New Delhi in the August presence of Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, GoI; Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassdor of India United Arab Emirates and Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali Director General Dubai Health Authority amongst others.
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali, Director General Dubai Health Authority, during his visit to the stall evincing keen interest in the activities; complimented the Government of Goa for effectively displaying the various activities being undertaken in the Ayush and allied Sector.

The platform brought together leading practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders in Ayurveda and other traditional systems of AYUSH, enabling meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
For Goa, this was not merely an exhibition, but a strategic engagement to showcase our growing wellness ecosystem and reinforce Ayurveda as a key pillar of our tourism diversification strategy. The encouraging response we received reflects the growing international interest in authentic and sustainable wellness experiences.”

The delegation comprised Allwyn Xavier Pereira, Information Officer, DIP; Dr. Minal Joshi, Dy. Director AYUSH, Directorate of Health and Dr Sameer Sadekar, Senior Ayurvedic Physician, NGDH, Asilo Hospital, Mapusa. Dr. Diplai Shirwaikar and Dr Shambhavi Gadgil – key stakeholders in the field of Ayurvedic medicines who possess valuable experience in handling foreign clientele were also part of the delegation for effective representation and engagement during the Conference and Exhibition.
Goa’s focus of promotion of wellness tourism, has already begun yielding significant positive results, reflected in increased tourist footfall, higher demand for wellness services, and growing international interest in traditional Indian healing systems. Participation in the exhibition further accelerated this momentum by offering a curated global platform for Ayurveda practitioners, wellness resorts, product manufacturers, tourism stakeholders, and policymakers to connect and collaborate.
The objectives of Goa’s participation were multifold – promote Ayurveda as a key pillar of wellness tourism; create awareness about preventive and curative Ayurvedic therapies; attract domestic and international wellness tourists; encourage industry collaboration and investment in the wellness sector and showcase Goa’s evolving ecosystem that blends traditional healing systems with modern hospitality standards.
The exhibition offered several strategic advantages, including high visibility and brand positioning among national and international audiences. Goa’s presence was associated with a government-supported wellness tourism initiative, enabling direct engagement with wellness professionals, tourists, investors, and industry leaders.
Through its participation, Goa reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable, health-focused tourism and positioning itself as a leading global hub for Ayurveda and holistic wellness. The initiative is expected to further strengthen partnerships, attract investment, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the State’s wellness tourism sector, stated a press release.
