Santosh Vishwakarma starred with a four-goal performance as Ponda Footballers clinched the GFA Futsal League title with a dominant 5-0 victory over Cana Benaulim SA at Navelim.

The final turned into a one-sided affair, with Ponda asserting control from the opening minutes. Vishwakarma led the charge, scoring twice in the first half to hand his side a 2-0 advantage at the interval, while Cana Benaulim struggled to contain the sustained attacking pressure.

Ponda continued in the same vein after the restart. Vishwakarma added two more goals to complete his quadruple and effectively put the result beyond reach. The contest briefly saw tempers flare, with Keegan Fernandes of Cana Benaulim SA and Aditya of Ponda Footballers both being sent off following an on-court incident.

Despite the numerical reduction, Ponda maintained their composure and rounded off the scoring through Samuel Fernandes, whose strike confirmed a comprehensive win and sealed the championship in emphatic fashion.

GFA Vice President Anthony Pango presented the trophy to Ponda Footballers in the presence of GFA executive members.
