PANAJI: The 6th edition of The Luxury Symposium 2022 concluded on a promising note in North Goa today. TLS2022 was a cultural collaboration of beauty, design, fashion & creative artforms at Hilton Goa Resort.
Minister of Culture Meenakshi Lekhi was the Chief Guest. HRH Queen Diambi Kabatusuila of Congo was also present. “India is so luxurious that every national has the capacity of being the designer himself or herself. I believe Luxury Symposium will take the luxury forward to the world in many ways” said Lekhi.
The Luxury League organised its third edition of The Showcase 2022, a pop-up of global talent on 26th and 27th March. The event also had the support of the Ministry of Tourism of India & Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The Luxury League, founded by Ritu Beri, is a Not-for-Profit Foundation, India’s first most powerful & influential platform for branding culture as luxury engaged in branding India, globally. The foundation serves as a standard-bearer to promote Indian arts, craft and heritage and is a global ambassador for Indian culture. The foundation also aims to create an environment conducive to creative thinking through dialogue and exchange of ideas amongst like-minded people, purveyors of luxury, global decision-makers, and the Government.
The objective of ‘The Showcase 2022’ exhibit platform was to promote ‘brands that bring glory to India’ and strengthen the voice of India, globally.
There was celebration of the contribution by eminent people from different walks of life, in the form of Parcos Women of Goa’; and the list comprised Yello Mehra, Nilima Suraj Morajkar, Diviya Kapur, Sheryl Oliveira Fernandes e de Sa, Sapna Sardessai, Anisha Hassan, Svetlana Casper, Pallavi Dempo, Archana Bhobe, Prabha Chandran, Sita Raina.
The event had a panel discussion on ‘luxury’ that is key to a nation’s branding and the speakers included: Queen Diambi Kabatusuila – Queen of Congo, Rinaa Shah – Founder & Owner of Rinaldi Design, Paulo Gomes, Former Creative director of Lisbon Fashion Week; Prabha Chandran, Former editor & senior communications consultant with the World Bank, and Nafisa Ali, actor.
