Our goal is to ensure that no person with disability is left behind due to lack of access to aids, appliances or supportive services. “
State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Pawaskar said: “With the unwavering support of the Chief Minister and the commitment of our team, we are able to extend the reach of ADIP camps to more beneficiaries. These assistive devices play a crucial role in enhancing mobility, communication, and overall quality of life. We will continue organising such camps across Goa so that every beneficiary receives the assistive devices they need to enhance mobility, communication and overall quality of life.
ADIP camps held across the state underscore the commitment to ensuring persons with disabilities in Goa have access to the tools they need to live with dignity and independence.”
The ADIP scheme provides a wide range of aids and appliances, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, crutches, and more to eligible persons with disabilities.
Since April 2024, over 1300 beneficiaries in Goa have received aids and appliances under the ADIP scheme, according to state data.
The camp continues the Commission’s mission to make assistive technologies more accessible across the state, helping persons with disabilities lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
