Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) organised a massive distribution camp at the Maha Kumbh site in Prayagraj, benefiting over 20,000 individuals. Aids and appliances worth ₹20 crores were distributed through a dedicated centre set up at the event.

Pilgrims in need who arrived for a holy dip received immediate assistance, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks, and other essential mobility and assistive devices—all provided free of cost.

The camp witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, and the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of India, S Govindraj.

Speaking about the initiative, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Goa, Pawaskar said: “This camp embodies the true spirit of inclusivity and accessibility. Ensuring that individuals with disabilities and senior citizens too can participate fully in spiritual gatherings like the Maha Kumbh is a significant step towards empowerment. ALIMCO’s efforts in making this possible are commendable. The initiative highlights ALIMCO’s commitment to enhancing mobility and independence for persons with disabilities, and the elderly who need aid, ensuring they receive necessary support.”
